What we do

The Office of American Indian/Alaska Native Health and Family Services (IHFS) mission is to support the state of Utah’s tribal governments, tribal communities, children, families, and all AI/AN populations to achieve and enjoy the highest level of health and wellness by: (1) building trust, (2) understanding and working on their health and wellness journeys; (3) honoring their traditions and cultures; and (4) advocating for their health and wellness within DHHS and with external stakeholders.
